Not-For-Profit Information

We offer an unique opportunity to be part of maritime community  life and its history which we aim to  preserve and make it our heritage. Our membership are people, who serve, have served and have a keen interest in the maritime sector of life on the island of Ireland. Our 'shop window' is an extensive collection of objects, books, pictures, paintings and documents available to view and to research from as displayed in our Museum in Dun Laoghaire, headquarters of the organisation. We organise functions and events to meet and promote all aspects of maritime affairs, both with learning institutions and for general interest.

Our volunteers are supplemented by other staff provided by a Community Employment scheme to maintain and run the venue.

Professional advisors are engaged to help with accounting, H & S, and other management functions. Leadership and input to the strategic development of the organisation is a priority.
