Deansrath Family Centre is one of Ireland’s most trusted providers of services for children and families and a Centre of Excellence for First Five services in Ireland. We are a Tusla-funded, innovative, vital organisation that strives every day to make a real difference in the lives of children and families in the greater Clondalkin area. 

Deansrath Family Centre operates an open door policy delivering a range of family and child focused Programmes within a transparent and inclusive ethos to families in a broad surrounding area. The principle of progressive universalism underpinning complimentary service provision is core to the functioning of the service. DFC provides a range of needs led evidence based services to children, young people, and their parents, carers and siblings so that they can realize their maximum potential and promote good outcomes for their children. Services include 0-5 years Pre- School based Early Intervention service, the Range of Incredible Years Parenting Programmes (Centre & School based), Home based Family Welfare Support, Weekly Open Access Supported Family Morning, Small Group Dina Programme (Centre & School based), and You Make the Difference (Hanen), Parenting Teenagers Service ,Coderdojo,Mothers and Fathers Support Groups etc etc etc etc. Service Provision is accessed through the Deansrath model of Multi Disciplinary Assessment and Case Management.
Families within our catchment area and who are referred or self-refer to DFC live in one of the main communities experiencing social exclusion in South County Dublin. The area is characterized by a large young population, severe educational disadvantage, a large unskilled/manual labour force with a high proportion of lone parents, high levels of unemployment and poverty All schools in the catchment area have been placed in DEIS band one( the most disadvantaged of the DEIS scheme)
