Sign Language Interpreting Service (SLIS) is the national Sign Language Interpreting Service for Ireland, established in 2007 through the Citizens Information Board,. 

The mission of SLIS is to promote, represent, advocate and ensure the availability of quality interpretation services to Deaf people in Ireland. Our goal is to ensure that Deaf people can participate as full and equal citizens in Irish society with easy access to interpreting for relevant public and social services and are able to exercise their rights and entitlements, including under the Equal Status & Disability Acts. To this end, SLIS is supported by the Citizens Information Board (CIB).
