Board Director

About Us: North Tipperary Community Services CLG, trading as Silver Arch Family Resource Centre (FRC) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to enhancing the well-being of families in North Tipperary. Through various programmes and initiatives, we provide support, resources, and advocacy to empower families and individuals to thrive.

Opportunity: We are currently seeking passionate and committed individuals to join our voluntary Board of Directors. As a board member, you will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of our organisation, ensuring financial sustainability, and advancing our mission to support families.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the organisation's operations and programmes.
  • Actively participate in board meetings, committee meetings, and special events.
  • Support fundraising efforts and contribute to financial planning and oversight.
  • Serve as ambassadors for Silver Arch FRC within the region and advocate for our mission and values.
  • Collaborate with fellow board members, staff, and stakeholders to achieve organisational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of Silver Arch FRC.
  • Previous experience serving on a non-profit board or relevant leadership experience.
  • Expertise in areas such as finance, fundraising, governance, community development & social enterprise, marketing, risk & strategic planning or human resources is desirable.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to dedicate time and energy to fulfill board responsibilities effectively.

Time Commitment: Board members are expected to attend monthly board meetings, participate in committee work as needed, and actively engage in organisational activities. The estimated time commitment is approximately 5-10 hours per month, including meetings and additional tasks.
