Not-For-Profit Information

Youth Work Ireland was originally established in 1989 as a response to a growing number of youth clubs in Meath.

With a network of youth clubs across the county, we also have a network of community youth work projects and specific youth programmes.

Registered as a limited company in 1992 and affiliated to Youth Work Ireland (formerly National Youth Federation), our work over the last number of years has moved from being leisure based to issue based and has increased its level of work with socially excluded young people in Meath.

The main aim of Youth Work Ireland Meath is "to support our young people and volunteers to create social and educational activities that are fun and constructive for their future and the future of their communities."

Youth Work Ireland Meath also recruit, support and train Volunteer leaders and have over 100 volunteers currently working throughout the county.

Youth Work Ireland Meath also aims to monitor, research and disseminate information concerning young people and work closely with statutory, voluntary and community groups to meet the changing needs of young people.
