Not-For-Profit Information

Vincent Wildlife Trust is a charitable company limited by guarantee based in Ireland and Britain. It has been at the forefront of techniques for wildlife conservation for over 40 years. We are not campaigners or lobbyists or a membership organisation; our specific niche is finding practical solutions to mammal conservation problems.

VWT is a specialist mammal conservation and research NGO. Working on at-risk mammals in Ireland, Britain and increasingly mainland Europe. Through ground-breaking research and conservation projects, it delivers conservation interventions that deliver innovative monitoring schemes, promote population restoration and address conflict management issues.

Our work to date has focused on mustelids, including the pine marten and Irish stoat, and the rarer bats, specifically, in Ireland, the lesser horseshoe bat. We have a legacy of some 40 bat roosts for the lesser horseshoe bat in Ireland. These roosts were acquired through funding from our founder.
