Thomastown Credit Union Limited is a financial co-operative founded in 1969, serving the communities of Thomastown, Bennettsbridge, Inistioge, Dungarvan, Ballyhale Knocktopher and Stoneyford.
We are not for profit. This means that we operate to provide for the needs of our membership. We provide savings, loans and insurance products. All of the surplus that is generated is returned to members: sponsoring our community clubs and groups, by setting a side in reserves for the future, & paying out a dividend and rebate to savers and borrowers.
We provide personal loans, business loans and community loans for all members. We also allocate sponsorship to different clubs and projects within our Common Bond, helping to develop communities. Working with clubs is an important part of our focus, and we have a specific Community Loan for Clubs who borrow for both large and small developments. We have a long association with Thomastown United AFC, and in more recent years with Bennettsbridge GAA, Kilfane Handball Club and Ballyhale GAA.
