St. John Bosco Youth Centre

St. John Bosco Youth Centre

Not-For-Profit Information

Currently ( May 2021) we are operating 5 days a week 830am to approx 5pm and hopefully over the coming months this will expand as Covid restrictions allow.

During the past year we successfully operated our core services online with some limited access to the centre for essential services when allowed.

St John Bosco Youth Centre was originally founded in the 1940s by the local community. Pre Covid this 1600sq m facility, incorporating sports hall, dance studio, youth cafe, shared offices, montessori, and multi-functional rooms operated 7 days a week and hosts youth work programme, after-schools, drugs education programme, soccer, tae kwon do, dance & drama, ballet, irish dancing, community events, archery, meetings and training. Consistent with its origins, the centre is as responsive as possible to the needs of the community that it serves, and constantly seeks to improve and innovate.

Our mission is to be a vibrant, exciting and innovative facility for young people in Drimnagh by providing a wide range of activities, including youth work, after-schools, drugs education, personal development, and sports. The centre should contribute positively in a direct way to the lives of young people, including those most marginalized.
