Sligo Credit Union is a member - owned financial co-operative formed to allow members to save and lend to each other at fair and reasonable rates of interest. It is a not-for-profit organisation with a volunteer ethos and community focus.
It is governed by 11 Volunteer Directors. Their function is to govern the function of the Credit Union by setting, monitoring and reviewing Strategy and Planning.
Directors meet on a monthy basis as a Board and each are also involved on a number committees which meet monthly.
The term of Office is 3 years.
Training is provided and a total of 15 hours CPD must be completed annually.
