Shannon's Hopeline was set up in memory of Shannon Kelleher who died from suicide on the 24th January 2012, she was 13 years old. Shannon's Mother and Aunty set up the charity together.
Our mission at Shannon's Hopeline is to support and educate young people and their families in the Dublin Area on the importance of looking after their mental health. To prevent suicide and reduce stigma before problems become a crisis. We do this by providing a workshop to schools called 'Be Kind to your Mind'. A low cost counselling service for young people up to the age of 25 years and a support group for parents who are struggling to help their children with concerns such as anxiety and depression.
