The School Completion Programme (SCP) in Dublin 1 & 7 works across 9 schools, 6 Primary and 3 Secondary, in the north inner city. Within the area also are 2 Child and Family projects, 2 Youth Services, a Garda Youth Diversion Project, a CDP and a local area network, each of which are represented on the board of management.
The SCP funds interventions in school and outside school aimed at reducing risk of early school-leaving. This is achieved through the employment of Project Workers and Life Skills Support workers who carry out individualised programmes with targeted young people and the provision of Afterschool and Holiday supports.
