Sacred Heart Family Resource Centre is a Waterford City based project that is funded by Tusla under the National Family Resource Centre Programme. Our key vision is to work in partnership with others to provide universal services that will enhance the social wellbeing of all members of the community and strengthen the resilience and capacity of families, individuals and groups to make positive change in their own lives. We are committed to achieveing this vision by using a community development approach and working form a social inclusion, equality and rights based ethos.
We do this by providing a range of services and supports including universal and targeted family supports, affordable childcare, health and wellbeing initaitives, social prescribing service, development groups, one to one support, advocacy and iinformation and advice. We also provide a focal point for local community groups to meet and work together as a collective along with facilitating other agencies and organisations to deliver their respective services at a local level.
Our core objective is to ensure that all those who engage with the Family Resource Centre gain at least one significant benefit from that engagement.
We believe in good governance and transparency and are subject to and accountable to the CRO, CRA and our funders. We endeavour to maintain a skilled and committed board of voluntary directors who can provide the balance between local knowledge and specific expertise necessary to design and deliver on our strategic plans.
