Photoworks North is an Educational Charity that for over 35 has helped developed and strengthened the photographic community in Ireland and the UK through its publishing activities in print and online. We encourage a greater understanding of photography and a greater understanding of the world through photography. Source’s core function is to increase reader's engagement with the arts through a critical discussion of photographic culture.

Emerging Photographers through graduate photography online and the printed supplements.
Mid career through publishing portfolios and reviews of exhibitions, books and self published books.
Established through retrospective archive features.
Source continues to make photographers work accessible on its website and through making its complete 34 year back catalogue available to all subscribers.
Source is an important component of the critical writing infrastructure of the visual arts In Ireland and the UK. To discover and encourage of emerging writers from all backgrounds and experience levels we run an annual writers prize.
Source Graduate Photography Online regularly works with over 400 photography graduates to bring their work to audiences. Source provides free online learning resources for young people on its website.
