Not-For-Profit Information

Outhouse is a community and resource centre for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) people, their families and friends. It is based in a restored Georgian Building on Capel Street in central Dublin. Established in 1994 against a backdrop of a dearth of LGBT focused community services, the current space was acquired and held in trust for the LGBT community. Its primary goal is to offer a safe space for people to inform, meet, organise and make things happen. Outhouse provides information, a safe drop-in space and caf, meeting rooms, theatre venue, and support facilities for individuals and groups. Our team of committed staff and volunteers have built up significant expertise and Outhouse is very often the first point of contact for people into the LGBT world. It is also the place in which lots of groups and organisations have been established.

Our Vision - Outhouse is a safe space for LGBT people and organisations that is inclusive of the diversity of our communities.

Mission - To provide a safe space which facilitates and encourages the growth of services and supports to the LGBT community.
