OLBS is the Irish fund raising arm of NPH International (Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos, Spanish for our little brothers and sisters) which runs homes for orphaned and homeless children, hospitals and schools in South America and the Caribbean.
NPH homes are located in 9 countries: Mexico, Honduras, Haiti, Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador, the Dominican Republic, Peru and Bolivia. Our homes are like a typical small village with family housing, school, workshops, farm, playground and gardens.
Many children are traumatised when they arrive at NPH; they may have lost their parents or have suffered maltreatment. Our mission is to provide every child with a safe home, education and healthcare, and our facilities are called homes because they are a unique family, where children find safety, security, acceptance and love.
Our Little Brothers and Sisters ("OLBS") is registered as a charity in Ireland since 1997.
OLBS is run entirely by volunteers who receive no salary or expenses. We receive some advice and support from NPH Europe.
