The Money Advise and Budgeting Service (MABS) operates from over 60 offices nationwide. The MABS offices operate an appointment scheduling system and each service is staffed by experienced Money Advisers who work with clients experiencing difficulties with a wide range of personal debts including personal loans, mortgages, credit card debt, catalogue debts, debts to legal moneylenders and hire purchases.
The main object for which the Company is established is the relief of poverty and economic hardship through the provision of a free, professional, client orientated, confidential and independent Money Advice and Budgeting Service, which identifies, supports, educates and advocates for those experiencing or at risk of over-indebtedness, especially those on low income.
MABS aims to empower the citizen to regain control of their personal finances and in co-operation with the local community to develop measures addressing the problems of over-indebtedness.
