Not-For-Profit Information

Link Galway CLG is celebrating its 30th year serving Galway. We are a small, independently governed, disability service and social enterprise with a strategic alliance with Ability West. We have 11 trainees attending our catering skills training centre, 16 paid employees with an intellectual disability working across Cafe Link, our public cafe, and our Bakery & Catering service which was re-established in early 2024.

Link Galway is in a period of change as we continue to emerge from covid times while incorporating the HSE New Directions Disability Policy. We will also soon be delivering tailored QQI accredited training programmes in house which may lead to an increase in trainees attending our centre.

Cafe Link, based in the grounds of the HSE community care campus in Newcastle, recently had a major renovation during 2023 leading to retraining of our supported employees while increasing our impact more than ever.

In early 2024, we received major investment from Rethink Ireland to kick start a new enterprise in the form of a bakery and catering service. This resulted in Link more than doubling in size as we reach a new demographic within Galway city by providing a delivery service and participating at local markets such as Tiny Traders and Umbrella le Cheile.
