LGBT Ireland is the national charitable organisation for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or intersex people.
We provide direct services and supports to LGBTQI+ people and their families; advocate for change in policy, legislation and practice that affects the lives of LGBTQI+ people; and provide information, training and raise awareness to support a more inclusive Ireland.
Partnership is core to the work of LGBT Ireland, and the National LGBT Helpline is the cornerstone of that partnership. The National LGBT Helpline is a seven day per week service, where LGBTQI+ people and their families can receive free, non-judgemental support by phone or online chat. It is coordinated by LGBT Ireland, working with regional helpline members around the country.
LGBT Ireland’s ambition is an Ireland where LGBTQI+ people, in all their diversity, can live full, safe, authentic, and celebrated lives. We are working every day to make Ireland the best place in Europe to be an LGBTQI+ person. Our values of compassion, collaboration, intersectionality and being solution focused, inform our actions.
LGBT Ireland is a registered charity, and a company limited by guarantee. We operate to the highest standard of governance and integrity, overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors.
