Léargas manages national and international exchange and cooperation programmes in education, youth work, and vocational education and training. In Ireland, Léargas is one of two agencies appointed by the Department of Education and Skills to manage the Erasmus+ programme. Léargas is a not-for-profit organisation (CHY 8317), wholly owned by the Department of Education and Skills, and its Board is appointed by the Minister.
