Irish Surfing is the national governing body for the sport of surfing on the Island of Ireland. We are a voluntary organisation comprising of clubs and groups involved in the development, representation & regulation of surfing in its many forms including shortboarding, longboarding, bodyboarding, kneeboarding, SUP, skimboarding, body surfing and tow surfing. We are active in areas such as club development, instructor training, surf school regulation, competitive surfing, promotion of safety and protection of our surfing environment.
Irish Surfing is governed by a board of directors, elected at our AGM by our member clubs. HQ in Easkey, Co Sligo where we employ one full time Development Officer to manage our activities and administration.Irish Surfing is a member for the International Surfing Association (World Governing Body) and the European Surfing Federation (European Governing Body) and we are recognised by the Irish Sports Council, Sport NI and the Olympic Council of Ireland.
