Not-For-Profit Information

The Irish Lung Cancer Community (ILCC) is the united voice of people impacted by lung cancer in Ireland. The ILCC empowers all those affected by lung cancer through the provision of education, information and support. The ILCC also works to promote more positive perceptions about the disease.

The ILCC was established by a group of like minded individuals, whose aim was to address the historic lack of advocacy for people with lung cancer in Ireland and to drive research into the disease with a view to improving outcomes both here in Ireland and globally.
The ILCC helps:
People with a current or previous diagnosis of lung cancer.
Family members, friends, and caregivers of people with lung cancer.
People at risk of lung cancer.

The ILCC aims to raise awareness about lung cancer, as well as destigmatise the disease, which may lead to an earlier diagnosis, and ensure there is a strong patient voice around lung cancer services in Ireland. The ILCC want to empower people living with lung cancer to be involved in treatment decisions and receive the best care possible.

The vision of the ILCC is that all people with lung cancer in Ireland will have the best chance of survival and live life as well as possible.

Our mission is to serve as the united voice of those impacted by lung cancer in Ireland, by creating a community that empowers all those affected by lung cancer through the provision of education, information and support and by promoting more positive perceptions about the disease.
