Galway Rape Crisis Centre is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) based in Galway City. The centre opened its doors in 1984 and since then has been providing counselling and support services to survivors of sexual violence and abuse in the West of Ireland. The centre also provides Education and Training Services to the general public, and to specific groups in the community. Our cutting edge services include a 24 hour call out service supporting survivors after recent assault or rape.

GRCC is dedicated to providing a professional, caring and confidential counselling and support service for those in our community affected by sexual abuse and sexual violence. We also work towards ending cultural and societal tolerance of sexual violence through advocacy, awareness raising and education programmes. Our vision is of a just and equal society where everyone has the right to live free from sexual violence and abuse.
