The Galway Film Fleadh, now in its 33rd year, is a multi-faceted film festival, with a two-fold purpose: to be a platform for quality international cinema, and an advocate for Irish national cinema for which the Fleadh’s identity is now synonymous. The Galway Film Fleadh provides showcase opportunities, promoting the profile and status of filmmakers and artists while enhancing the appreciation of cultural cinema through an all-inclusive educational, entertaining and enjoyable festival. The Fleadh also embraces tributes, debates, masterclasses, public interviews, panels and workshops affording Irish filmmakers and artists an opportunity to learn more and to reflect on the art and their approach to the craft of cinema.
