Forward Steps Family Resource Centre was established in 2001 and is a company limited by gaurantee with charitable status. The organisation is core funded through the Fammily Resource Centre Programme by TUSLA Child and Family Agency. Our early years service called Little Steps is funded through the National Childcare scheme through Pobal.
We provide a raange of services and supports to children, families and the local community through community development and family support practice. We work with a range of agencies and organisations in the implementation of activities, services and supports that address the needs of children, families and the local community.
Briefly we provide and facilitate the following services:
Little Steps Early Years Service, Adult Counselling, Play Therapy and Art Therapy, Community based education and training, support to Traveller groups, multi-cultural groups and others. Hosting of Family Events, programmes, Parenting supports, information and advice workshops. We also deliver the Rainbows programmes for children, Parents Plus for 6-11yrs as well engaging in networks with other organisations and statutory sector.
