Not-For-Profit Information

Financial Justice Ireland is global financial justice organisation based in Ireland. We were established in 1993 by a number of development, faith-based, and solidarity groups in Ireland who were concerned about the devastating effects of debt on Southern countries. Our work now looks at the effects of financial inequality in Ireland as well as the global South, with a particular focus on sovereign debt and tax justice. We are calling for a financial system that serves the needs of all people, rather than just some people, and which does not take the planet for granted.

Our work includes education, awareness-raising, research, advocacy and campaigning for a fair global financial system. We aim to empower people in Ireland to take informed action for greater economic justice globally.

We have a small team of three part-time staff members. We currently have funding from Irish Aid, the European Commission, WorldWise Global Schools and our member organisations to support us in delivering our work.
