Festival in a Van CLG

Conceived in April 2020 as a response to Covid 19, Festival in a Van is a mobile arts event, bringing live performance around Ireland. A Van has been kitted out, transforming it into a stage, with full sound and lights, which tours with a small team of theatre professionals. Since 2020, we have toured to schools, care homes, housing estates, direct provision centres, town parks and remoter rural spots. We have staged theatre shows, commissioned poetry, and held mini concerts with some of Ireland’s leading musicians. Truly democratic, always engaging, and valuing professionalism and excellence in all that we do, Festival in a Van brings live performance to the parts of Ireland other venues may not be able to reach. We are supported by Creative Ireland, the Local Authority Network, and by grants from the Arts Council of Ireland.
