MISSION
The East Cork Early Music Festival promotes and develops historically-informed (early) music performance in Cork city and county. The festival makes high-quality music accessible to all audiences, through the unique accessibility of early music which shares qualities with the best of classical, folk and improvised music.
VISION
Our vision is an Ireland where early music is appreciated by audiences of all ages and backgrounds throughout the country and our artists specialising in this music are developed and nurtured.
VALUES
Artistic Excellence: ECEMF develops early music as an artform in Ireland, provides platforms for outstanding Irish ensembles, and hosts the best of early music specialists worldwide.
Learning: ECEMF promotes learning in an inclusive manner, through regular workshops, masterclasses, and innumerable opportunities for all sectors, from babies at their first concert to professional musicians.
Accessibility and engagement: ECEMF makes music accessible for audiences in as many ways as possible, from our many free events, through to our continual work to make concerts as engaging as possible for every audience member.
