The East Coast Regional Drugs and Alcohol Task Force was established in 2003 under the Drug Programme and Policy Unit in the Department of Health to assess the extent and nature of the drug problem in the Dublin South, Dublin Southeast and Wicklow areas and coordinate action at local level so that there is a targeted response to the drug problem in local communities. The ECRDATF operates with a number of partner organisations and agencies to make a positive contribution to the service users and local communities and coordinate quality services and supports in the area of supply reduction, treatment, rehabilitation, education, prevention and research.
