Dun Laoghaire Refugee Project

We are a small but very active volunteer-only charity that provides support to asylum-seekers mainly by enabling them to avail of educational opportunities while they are going through the asylum process. We are in existence since 2001. We have 13 volunteers at present. We run a very well- attended drop-in centre every Monday evening. We need to replace one Trustee. We hold monthly Zoom meetings. We need someone who ideally is or has been a legal practitioner, who is able to recognise whenever there may be a legal dimension to an issue under consideration and who then can give appropriate legal advice. Thankfully, we have never had to deal with any contentious legal issues.
