Not-For-Profit Information

This organisation started 38 years ago by community/tennis activists to promote tennis at grassroots and remove the elitism that once attached to the game. It linked into the local authorities who provide some funding and the free use of their tennis facilities thereby increasing the use of their underused tennis facilities. It started in 7 venues in Dublin city and after 38 years operates in 45 venues in Dublin city and county. The concept has spread nationwide and operates in 165 venues nationwide on a similar system as operating in Dublin.

It had a commercial sponsor for 25 years. After a gap of two years, a sponsor was obtained for 2015.

It is an associate organisation of Tennis Ireland, the governing body of tennis here.
