Dalkey Archive Press was founded to publish the best international literature and to keep the works permanently in print at a time when commercial publishing began greatly reducing its commitment to unconventional fiction, literary translations, poetry, criticism, and belles-lettres. In recent years, Dalkey have won several international awards including the Nobel Prizesand the Press itself has gained international awards for its editorial excellence and for serving readers' needs. We currently publish the largest number of translations any press in Europe or the United States. The Guardian has Dalkey Archive as having ‘one of the most impressive lists in the world.’
