The Dales

The Dales Centre is a community organisation, set up in 1993, to address the problems of drugs and drug use in the area.
The Dales, works with individuals and families from the Dublin 17 area, to assist them in addressing the issue of problematic drug and alcohol use.
This is achieved in a number of ways, One to One support, Key working, Case Management and Care Planning, these are all offered as part of an holistic service.
Our Philosophy: Reducing Harm to Individuals and the Community, by Supporting People through Each Stage of Addiction. 
The Dales works from a low threshold - harm reduction philosophy, meaning that there are few constraints imposed on the people using our services.
As a result we are able to engage with individuals who often find themselves excluded from other services due to their substance use, and associated needs and behaviour.
We operate an “Open Door” policy and so individuals or families are free to walk in to our service, to meet and talk with one of our staff.

We are a low threshold service for drug and alcohol users and their families.
We provide a range of services within the Dublin 17 area. These include;
One to one support to individuals affected by drug and/or alcohol use, Key-working, Care-planning, Case management and Referral.
Counselling and Therapeutic interventions by qualified and registered counselling therapists.
Psychosocial support groups to people looking to address their addiction,
A weekly Family Support service to those affected by addiction.
We also offer a crisis intervention service to individuals contemplating suicide or engaging in self-harm. We use the ASIST suicide intervention model
