Crash Ensemble is Ireland’s foremost contemporary music ensemble: a group of world-class musicians performing the most adventurous, ground-breaking work of today. Innovative, ambitious, and artist-led, we collaborate widely across musical genres and artforms, exploring new ways of creating and presenting music while maintaining quality at our core.

Led by cellist and Artistic Director Kate Ellis, Crash produces work for Irish and international stages, presenting at major venues and festivals including the Edinburgh International Festival, Royal Opera House, Barbican, Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, GAIDA Festival, and Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival.

Crash Ensemble is funded by the Arts Council of Ireland and Dublin City Council, and is a resident ensemble at the National Concert Hall in Dublin and at Kilkenny Arts Festival.
