The Civic Theatre

The Civic is a registered charity (charity number 20040765), run by a Board of Directors that was set up in 1999. Since opening we have developed relationships with a variety of Irish and International theatre companies along with opera, contemporary dance, ballet and children’s theatre companies, developing healthy audiences for these.

We receive some support from South Dublin County Council and the Arts Council of Ireland who have helped us enormously in establishing the theatre as one of the key cultural venues in South Dublin, supporting many local amateur and community organisations and introducing countless people to theatre and the arts for the first time.
