Not-For-Profit Information

Carrick-on Suir Community Resource Centre CLG provides a vibrant, centralized, accessible community resource centre for the people of Carrick-on-Suir and its environs. We opened in 2004, providing rooms and facilities for community activities, a wide range training courses, health information, trainee and qualified counsellors, plus several stakeholder tenants, such as the Local Employment Service, MABS, Citizens Information and Cuan Saor,

We have recently reorganised our Board and Committee structures and the frequency of our meetings.  We now have 8 directors on our Board, which is also attended by the Centre Manager.

There are now 4 sub-committees, each having at least 1 Board Member who reports back to the Board.  These sub-committees are: Finance, Planning, Staffing and Family Support.

We have recently embarked on an exciting development programme for the Centre, moving from mainly room rental to direct provision of not only services to adults, but also facilities for families and children,  We aim to become a Family Resouce Centre, which is badly needed in Carrick-on-Suir. To this end we have anew thriving Women’s Group , Play Therapy, a Mother and Toddler Group, a summer camp for disadvantaged children and many other initiatives in the pipeline.

We are located within easy reach of Waterford, south Kilkenny and South Tipperary.
