The Birr Scientific and Heritage Foundation T/A Birr Castle Demesne was set up by the 7th Earl of Rosse so that it may share and preserve the rich scientific and heritage from Birr Castle and its demesne. The focus of the charity is to inspire and education all who visit. Birr Castle Demesne is open to the public 362 days a year and all revenue generated through 4 main streams is used directly to fund the operations and to preserve all that is in our care.
