Beaufort Day Care Centre CLG

We contribute to the individual well being and quality of life of older people, by offering support, companionship & meaningful activities for healthy living in a safe and secure setting. In this way we form part of the range of care services available to older people in the locality.

Our clients are persons over 65 years whom HSE services believe would benefit from participation in the social care activities that we provide. Our clients are mainly referred by the public health nurses. We currently have a client base of approximately 120 people of whom forty attend the centre on any given day. Many of our clients come on special buses, others are brought by relatives, friends and carers while those living very close by simply walk to the centre.

We run regular programmes of activities which include Bingo, Art Classes, Bridge, Dominos, Exercise Classes, Music, Knitting Sessions and Sing-a-longs, etc.
