Anew Support Services CLG (t/a Anew)

Anew Support Services CLG is a registered charity that provides practical and emotional support to pregnant women and new mothers who are experiencing homelessness. The women we work with come from diverse backgrounds and include careleavers, migrants and members of the travelling community. They often find themselves homeless as a direct result of their pregnancy. The women are isolated and come from complex situations such as domestic abuse, mental and physical health issues and addiction. Anew provides a temporary home in Cherry Blossom Cottage in North Dublin which is staffed 24 hours a day. We also provide transitional step down accommodation in Dumcondra, Dublin for 6 new mothers and their babies. Support includes intensive keyworking around new motherhood and life skills. As well as help to secure a forever home for the women and their babies. Anew also provides support to residents and non residents through day services in Haven House in Dublin city centre in areas such as peer to peer support, housing information and support and essential supplies . Annually Anew supports approximately 100 women and accommodates over 20 pregnant women/new mothers. The intensive early intervention that Anew provides is invaluable in breaking the cycle of poverty. As a result of interventions in Anew, the women are empowered to secure employment and further education. Anew has 19 staff. It operates in compliance with the Charities Regulator's Governance Code and is an Approved Housing Body.
