VOLUNTEER TREASURER

Write By The Sea is seeking an individual with excellent finance and admin skills to join our organising committee in the role of Treasurer

The role is a key part of the organising Committee who meet 8-10 times per year. 

Responsibilities

  • Be a member of the finance committee.
  • Oversee the organisation's financial activities, including budgeting, banking and financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with the committee chair to develop the festival budget
  • Direct contract bookkeeping and admin service providers
  • Develop and maintain financial records, including income statements and bank reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Contribute to grant applications and fundraising initiatives.
  • Work with our accountant to produce end-of-year financial statements and filings as required.

Time Commitment & Location:

  • The volume of work varies over the year and is busiest in August and September.
  • 4 - 6 hours a month in quiet times and 8 - 12 hours a month in busy times
  • Meetings are in Kilmore Quay, but work can be done in your own home or office

Write By The Sea is organised by a dedicated group of literature-loving volunteers who meet monthly to scheme, dream, and plan our annual literature festival in Kilmore Quay, Co. Wexford
