Chrysalis Board Members

 

Chrysalis is a leading addiction service based in Dublin North Inner City. We have Charitable Status and are funded by the HSE. We are a harm reduction organisation; we engage with individuals and family members impacted by substance misuse through various therapeutic interventions e.g. case management, counselling, community detox and groupwork.

 

 Chrysalis is recruiting Board Members. We are looking for an experienced individual who can assist with the development of Chrysalis and assist us to grow.

 

We are currently looking for motivated and committed individuals who share Chrysalis’s values and bring relevant and recent experience and expertise at a strategic level in at least one of the following areas:

  • Finance and accounts
  • Human Resources
  • Fundraising and networking
  • Clinical Experience

 

Responsibilities of Board Members will include the following: 

  • To assist with grant applications and explore opportunities for further funding
  • To assist in developing new partnerships with the objective of developing sources of sustainable funding for Chrysalis
  • To attend our Board Meetings and annual AGM
  • Participate in ad hoc sub groups as needed.
  • Participate, contribute and engage with on going areas such as Quality and Safety Sub group, Strategic Planning, Appraisals etc
  • To give a minimum of 1 year commitment
  • To adhere to Board Members’ code of conduct and policies

Skills and Qualities required are

  • A strong interest in the addiction services and social justice environment in Ireland
  • A strong communicator
  • Excellent networking skills and ability to maintain working relationships
  • Proactive attitude, drive, enthusiasm and initiative
  • Honesty, integrity, reliability, commitment and time keeping
  • A proven team player
