Clúid Housing Association is seeking to appoint a new member to its Board. Clúid is a not-for-profit organisation and an approved housing body (AHB).
Since incorporation in 1994 Clúid has grown to become the largest AHB in Ireland. Operating throughout Ireland, Clúid provides over 8,500 homes to 22,226 residents.
Clúid’s social purpose is to provide quality housing and services to people in need, enabling them to create thriving communities. We are driven by our social mission and our not-for-profit ethos. Clúid provides quality affordable homes with secure tenure. The homes we develop remain available to serve housing need now and into the future. In addition to family housing, Clúid develops age friendly housing which is separately branded as Clann. Clúid is at the forefront of housing innovation. In July 2021 Clúid delivered the first cost rental homes in Ireland. This new tenure provides affordable secure homes to low- and medium-income working households.
Clúid is governed by a voluntary board which is made up of 11 members, the Board delegates day-to-day management to the Chief Executive and a team of more than 250 staff.
The Board is seeking expressions of interest from experienced individuals with a background in social justice, customer care, community engagement, housing policy, advocacy, tenant rights or related fields. Appointments are non-remunerated and are for an initial term of four-years.
There are six Board meetings per year. Meetings are conducted online at present and will be a mix of online and in person going forward. The appointed candidate would also be expected to join a committee.
