St Michaels Credit Union is located at Skehard Road, Blackrock Cork . T12 D302.
We are currently seeking volunteers to join our Board of Directors
Not everyone may seek to jump in as a Director. We would love to speak with individuals with lending experience (MCC / QFAqualified) to join our Credit Control Committee or our Credit Lending Committee. Perhaps you are working in a financial institution or recently retired and want to use your knowledge to contribute or learn more about Credit unions.
These committees meet for appx 1 hour a month so it may suit you. Our Credit Control Committe is virtual.
Sharing your skills and expertise to contribute with an organisation that is committed to delivering sustainable services for our members and continue our community supports andd social good throughout Blackrock & Mahon.
You can either live or work in the Blackrock & Mahon areas of Cork to be a member and eligible OR be a current member of St Michaels Credit Union.
Whether this is your first time volunteering for a position or you have previous experience we want to hear from you. Enthuasism , interest and a willingness to be involved is required.
Being a volunteer can be extremely fulfilling as it allows you engage and take an active role in decisions that shape our business and support local communities. It also brings many other advantages including an appreciation of how Credit Unions operate and an added experience for you. For younger volunteers it adds to a CV portfolio , and lear from others. Experienced volunteers bring that worldly knowledge. It will also allow you use your experiences to learn and grow with us together.

St Michaels Credit Union is based in Blackrock Cork with assets > €66m and serving 12,000 members. Surplus income is returned in the form of dividends/loan rebates or is directed to improved member services and into community sponsorships and supports.This is a real circular economy.#supporting local.

St Michaels Credit Union exists to serve our members ; we cannot exist in our Community without a Board and panel of committed volunteers and we seek your support.
We know volunteering is a committment not all can make and we will fully support you become part of our team. The benefits of volunteering are very rewarding , you will gain new interests, friendships , learn new skills and know you are enhancing the lives and financial well being of local communities .
NB: You do not need to be a current member but You must LIVE or WORK (i.e your employer address) within the environs of our communities of Blackrock and Mahon Cork or be an existing member.
