Treasurer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualifications: The candidate should be a qualified accountant.
  • Financial Oversight: Provide insights into financial policies and controls, propose recommendations, and monitor financial procedures. ​
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure the organisation adheres to compliance and risk management standards. ​
  • Board Advisory: Advise the board on financial implications, cash flow issues, and other financial matters. ​
  • Finance Committee Role: Serve on the Finance Committee to evaluate and monitor financial controls and ensure compliance with best practices. ​
  • Authorised Signatory: Act as an authorised signatory for the charity. ​

General Trustee Duties:

  • Comply with the charity’s governing document. ​
  • Ensure the charity fulfils its purpose for public benefit. ​
  • Act in the charity’s best interest with reasonable care and skill. ​
  • Manage the charity’s assets responsibly. ​

Meetings:

There are 10 board scheduled board meetings held in Navan with online options available.

Finance sub-committee meetings are held online and held prior to a board meeting.
