Treasurer
Key Responsibilities:
- Qualifications: The candidate should be a qualified accountant.
- Financial Oversight: Provide insights into financial policies and controls, propose recommendations, and monitor financial procedures.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure the organisation adheres to compliance and risk management standards.
- Board Advisory: Advise the board on financial implications, cash flow issues, and other financial matters.
- Finance Committee Role: Serve on the Finance Committee to evaluate and monitor financial controls and ensure compliance with best practices.
- Authorised Signatory: Act as an authorised signatory for the charity.
General Trustee Duties:
- Comply with the charity’s governing document.
- Ensure the charity fulfils its purpose for public benefit.
- Act in the charity’s best interest with reasonable care and skill.
- Manage the charity’s assets responsibly.
Meetings:
There are 10 board scheduled board meetings held in Navan with online options available.
Finance sub-committee meetings are held online and held prior to a board meeting.
