Treasurer

The Deaf Heritage Centre (DHC) was set up in 1999 by a group of past pupils from St Joseph’s School for Deaf Boys. Together with past pupils from St Mary’s School for Deaf Girls and other former Deaf schools across the island of Ireland. The DHC collate, maintain and protect artefacts, materials and records of the Deaf Community, tracing back 200 years. The current Treasurer is retiring from their position and the DHC wish to find a suitable candidate to replace them.

The following responsibilities will be attached to this voluntary position:

- The Treasurer is responsible for maintaining accounts of the funds of the DHC.

- The Treasurer is responsible for recording all income and expenditure and for reporting on the financial position of the Deaf Heritage Centre to the Committee on an ongoing basis. 

- The Treasurer will attend monthly Board meetings of the Committee of the Deaf Heritage Centre (the meetings will be a combination of virtual and physical meetings).

- The Treasurer would ideally assist the DHC in applying for available grants, and assisting with fundraising opportunities.
