AMACH! LGBTI+ Galway wishes to recruit a Treasurer to be a member of their Board of Directors.

AMACH! LGBTI+ Galway as an organisation aims to reflect equally the diversity within the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community by encouraging positive participation from the community. We actively advocate to achieve a solid and safe support structure for the LGBT+ community in Galway. We aim to provide awareness, educational and training events and workshops, and endeavour to support and promote a socially inclusive society. AMACH! LGBTI+ Galway aims to promote inclusion, protect rights and improve quality of life and wellbeing for members of the LGBTI+ community in Galway, enabling them to participate fully in Ireland's social, economic, cultural, and political life.

Job Description

We are looking for a Non-Executive Director with Treasurer Responsibility to join as a member of the Board of Directors. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that the organisation is financially sound and that financial risk is managed.

Role Specifics:

Reporting to the Board of AMACH, the roles and responsibilities of the Treasurer include:

• Financial Oversight
• Internal Controls
• Annual Statutory Financial Statements
• Compliance with statutory and non-statutory requirements relating to financial reporting and funder requirements.
• Financial aspects of the Risk Register
