KCASES Employability Service Kilkenny/Carlow   is a not-for-profit community organisation funded by the Dept of Social Protection and is dedicated to creating inclusive employment opportunities for people with disabilities. We believe everyone deserves the chance to contribute their skills, build confidence, and be valued in the workplace.

We are currently seeking passionate and skilled Board Members to join our team and help shape the next chapter of our organisation’s journey.

About the Role

As a volunteer member of our Board, you will:

  • Contribute to the strategic direction and governance of the organisation.

  • Support our mission to provide sustainable, supported employment opportunities.

  • Help ensure strong financial, operational, and ethical oversight.

  • Advocate for inclusion and empowerment within our community.

Board meetings are held quarterly with an estimated commitment of no more than 4  hours per quarter  including preparation and participation in subcommittees or events.

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals who share our commitment to inclusion, dignity, and opportunity for people with disabilities. Experience in one or more of the following areas would be highly valued (though not essential):

  • Governance, finance, or legal expertise

  • Human resources or workforce development

  • Disability services or lived experience with disability

  • Business development, partnerships, or fundraising

  • Social enterprise or community sector management

We particularly encourage applications from people with lived experience of disability, carers, and members of diverse backgrounds.
