Role Summary
As a trustee with psychotherapy expertise, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the services provided by Rape Crisis Midwest are trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and clinically sound. Your knowledge of mental health, therapeutic practices, and survivor care will contribute to the charity’s strategic direction and operational excellence, ensuring it continues to meet the complex needs of individuals affected by sexual violence.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Professional qualifications in psychotherapy, psychology, counseling, or a related mental health field.
- Significant experience working with survivors of trauma, particularly those affected by sexual violence.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, safeguarding, and survivor-centered approaches.
- Awareness of ethical considerations in therapeutic practice and mental health service delivery.
- A commitment to supporting survivors and promoting mental health and well-being.
