Trustee with HR, Legal, Health & Safety or Philanthropic experience

Are you passionate about community development and making a real impact? Join Fingal LEADER Partnership, a not-for-profit charity dedicated to fostering sustainable social and economic development in Swords, North County, and Rural Dublin.

We are seeking Directors to join our Board and bring their expertise to help drive our mission forward. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the community while gaining valuable governance experience in a dynamic organisation.

About Us:
Fingal LEADER Partnership is a Local Development Company delivering a range of programs to support individuals, businesses, and communities. These include rural development, social inclusion initiatives, and enterprise supports, ensuring sustainable growth and enhanced well-being across the region.

Who We’re Looking For:
We are particularly interested in individuals with expertise in the following areas:

  • Human Resources (HR): Experience in recruitment, workforce planning, and organisational culture.
  • Legal: Knowledge of charity law, governance, or regulatory compliance.
  • Health & Safety: Expertise in workplace safety standards and risk management.
  • Philanthropy: including strategic grant making, charitable program development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend and actively participate in Board meetings (approximately 6–8 per year - half online and half in person).
  • Sit on one Subcommittee of the Board (online meetings)
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure the organisation achieves its objectives.
  • Contribute expertise in your specific area to support the development and growth of the organisation.
  • Act as an ambassador for Fingal LEADER Partnership, fostering relationships with stakeholders and the wider community.

Commitment:
This is a voluntary position. The expected time commitment is attendance at Board meetings, preparation time, and participation in sub-committees or special projects.
