Trustee with Governance experience

PSPAssociation Ireland CLG (PSPA Ireland) is the national charity supporting families and people with the rare neurological conditions ;Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Corticobasal Degeneration( CBD).

We provide information, advice, support , advocate and are engaged in research to further support our members. We are looking for experienced and committed people to join our Board and help us to make a real difference in the lives of people with PSP and CBD. 

We are seeking a to assist with governance and compliance.

The role will involve:

Managing governance and compliance matters ensuring adherence to charity and company law and other statutory requirements.

Reviewing documentation and advising the Board on any necessary changes, implementing  requirements, reporting and filing obligations as they arise

Monitoring and reviewing compliance.

Working with Board and staff on compliance and governance requirements and providing practical support, training and guidance to facilitate compliance where necessary.

Supporting the implementation of best practice in governance and compliance within the charity

Carrying out and maintaining a risk register and supporting the Chairperson and Board in identifying ,assessing and mitigating risks.
