Ranelagh Arts is a vibrant community arts organization committed to fostering creativity and cultural engagement in Dublin. Through exhibitions, workshops, and festivals, we connect artists and the community, making the arts accessible to all.
We are seeking a Treasurer with strong financial expertise to join our board and help ensure the financial sustainability of the organization.
The Role
As Treasurer, you will provide financial oversight and strategic guidance, ensuring good governance and transparent financial management. You will work closely with the Chair and Board to monitor budgets, review accounts, and contribute to long-term planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the organization’s financial health and advise the Board on financial matters
- Review budgets, financial reports, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Support the preparation of annual accounts and liaise with the auditor as required
- Advise on fundraising strategies and sustainable financial planning
- Act as a financial sounding board for the management team
Skills & Experience
- Professional accounting or financial qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of financial governance and reporting
- Ability to interpret financial data and communicate it clearly to non-financial board members
- Experience in the charity or arts sector is desirable but not essential
- Passion for the arts and commitment to Ranelagh Arts’ mission
Commitment
The board meets monlty, with some additional input for financial review and reporting. This is a voluntary role with an estimated time commitment of 2 hours per month.
